Shawn Oden and Gus Arana
ABC Florida East Coast has announced new leadership for its Legislative Committee, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to effective advocacy and workforce-focused policy. Shawn Oden has been appointed Chair, with Gus Arana named Co-Chair. Both are members of the ABC-FEC Board of Directors and will help guide the organization’s legislative priorities in 2026.
Oden, of BMO Commercial Bank, brings extensive financial and business expertise to the role and will lead efforts to advance key initiatives, including securing the first state appropriation for the ABC Institute Hialeah Campus. Arana, of Mohawk Group, adds deep industry perspective and hands-on leadership experience to support a strong, pro-business legislative agenda.
ABC-FEC also extends sincere thanks to John Parker of PCL Construction Services and Sam Wilcox of Harm Reduction Center for their outstanding service as Chair and Co-Chair over the past year. Their leadership played a key role in advancing the committee’s work and strengthening ABC-FEC’s legislative impact.
