On May 22, 2025, ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI) celebrated a major milestone: its 50th anniversary. As Florida’s largest apprenticeship education provider and the undisputed leader in workforce development and placement, ABCI continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of the construction industry.
The day was marked with a Board of Directors meeting and an outpouring of recognition from local, state, and federal leaders. The honors included:
◆ A Congressional Record recognition from the office of U.S. Congressman Jared Moskowitz
◆ A Proclamation from Broward County Mayor Beam Furr, declaring May 22nd as ABCI Apprenticeship College’s 50th Anniversary Day in Broward County
◆ A Proclamation by Coconut Creek Mayor Jackie Railey and the City Commission, also declaring May 22nd as ABCI’s 50th Anniversary Day in the city
Florida House Representative Christine Hunschofsky (District 95) also joined us to commemorate this special day.
The celebrations concluded with a picnic gathering, where students, instructors, ABC staff, and board members came together to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future. It was a fitting tribute to five decades of dedication to skilled trades and a strong reminder of ABCI’s continued impact on Florida’s construction workforce.
